On the 16th of October, the AHK Sri Lanka organized and hosted its first ever Legal & Tax Sector Committee Meeting. The meeting was opened with a warm welcome and introductory remarks by Chief Delegate Martin Klose of the AHK Sri Lanka, setting the tone for a productive and collaborative session. Participants were then invited to introduce themselves and their respective organizations, allowing for a relaxed and engaging exchange that laid the foundation for stronger professional ties.

A key part of the agenda was a discussion on the objectives and vision for the newly formed committee. Members expressed a clear interest in using the platform to expand their networks and engage with peers from other sector committees. Several ideas were proposed to bring these objectives to life, such as contributing a Legal & Tax Articles to the AHK Sri Lanka Newsletter, organizing open- and closed-door discussions on critical topics, and offering expert insights to other committees through short presentations.

There was also a strong interest in cross-committee collaboration, particularly around joint sessions to address shared challenges.

The meeting concluded with closing remarks from the AHK team and informal discussions among participants.

With a successful first meeting behind them, the Legal & Tax Sector Committee is poised to become a dynamic forum for knowledge-sharing, problem-solving, and professional growth within the AHK Sri Lanka network.
