Sector Committees

We aim at improving business relations and identifying common business interests through industry-specific sector committees. By joining these committees, members gain access to an effective platform for networking, advocacy, and discussions on sector-relevant issues.

Meeting of Stakeholders

We are constantly working to promote the interests of our members and maintain regular dialogue with the Sri Lankan government and authorities through position papers, direct discussions, and special events. In addition, through our AHK Sri Lanka sector committees, we promote networking opportunities at all levels, including technical experts and representatives from politics, business, and society in Germany and Sri Lanka.

Quarterly committee meetings and additional events and networking events provide a forum for discussing important issues and forwarding them to the relevant authorities. These events also offer excellent opportunities for networking and sharing best practices. New contacts can be made that are crucial for your business development.

Hear From One of Our Members

  • If I share my experience as a Logistics & Maritime Committee Member at AHK, this committee is an ideal platform to recognize the common strengths, challenges, and opportunities for all German brands. As a team, we were able to take a unified approach to overcome the challenges in promoting our brands in Sri Lanka. The initiatives taken by AHK on behalf of the Sector Committee, such as organizing constructive meetings with facilitators, were very productive and resulted in common benefits.
