Project CIRCULAR supports innovative start-ups and SMEs in Sri Lanka in developing responsible, circular and export-ready products for international markets. Implemented by GIZ in Sri Lanka and funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the project helps businesses reduce food loss and waste, minimize single-use plastics, improve resource efficiency and strengthen traceability across their value chains.
AHK Sri Lanka is delighted to announce the upcoming implementation of a fully sponsored delegation of eight selected Sri Lankan organic food and beverage exporters to Berlin from 28 to 30 October 2026. The program will include exchanges with associations and market experts, insights into Germany’s circular economy, visits to leading retailers, networking with industry representative and B2B meetings with potential German and European partners.
We look forward to a successful and smoothly run program. Participants can expect valuable insights into the German market, opportunities to build meaningful business connections, and constructive discussions on sustainable sourcing, product development and long-term commercial cooperation.
The project will continue with its final stage from 13 to 17 January 2027, when eight German companies will visit Sri Lanka. Their program will include participation in Sri Lankan EXPO 2027, B2B meetings with selected exporters, engagement with authorities and industry stakeholders, and a conference on sustainability in Sri Lanka’s export sector.
