The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka (AHK Sri Lanka) hosted its latest CEOs’ Dinner on 8 September 2026 at the Longdon Room, Taj Samudra Colombo, bringing together senior business leaders and delegates for an evening of networking, exchange, and constructive dialogue on Sri Lanka’s economic and business environment.
The event provided a platform for representatives of the business community to connect, exchange perspectives, and discuss developments shaping Sri Lanka’s economic landscape and its future growth prospects.
A key highlight of the evening was the special guest address by Dr. Martha Tesfaye Woldemichael, IMF Resident Representative in Sri Lanka, who shared valuable insights into Sri Lanka’s economic recovery, reform progress, and evolving business climate. Her remarks provided an important perspective on the country’s ongoing economic transformation and the opportunities and challenges facing businesses operating in Sri Lanka.
The evening also featured an introduction round, allowing participating representatives to introduce themselves and their organisations, further supporting meaningful connections and strengthening relationships within the business community.
AHK Sri Lanka extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Martha Tesfaye Woldemichael for her valuable contribution and to all participating CEOs and delegates for their active engagement and contributions to the discussion.
Through initiatives such as the CEOs’ Dinner, AHK Sri Lanka continues to provide a platform for dialogue and networking among the business community, supporting stronger economic relations and creating opportunities for closer cooperation between Germany and Sri Lanka.
