Developing Sustainable Sewage Sludge Management for BOI Zones

The Board of Investment (BOI) in Sri Lanka operates various Export Processing Zones (EPZs) across the country. These Special Economic Zones provide companies with tailored infrastructure, specialized services, and business benefits.

To address challenges in sewage sludge management within these zones, AHK Sri Lanka is collaborating with a specialized engineering firm to establish a concept for an environmentally sustainable sludge management system. As part of this initiative, AHK Sri Lanka is also organizing a delegation trip to Germany, enabling Sri Lankan stakeholders of the BOI Zones to explore best practices, foster research and innovation collaborations, and connect with leading providers of sewage sludge management solutions.

Further information on the program outline, participation opportunities and registration will follow soon on this page.
