The visit served as an important platform to introduce the project to the zone’s management and key industry stakeholders. It also included insightful discussions on current sewage sludge handling practices and a guided tour of the on-site treatment plant.
To symbolically kick off the initiative, Ms. Champa Wijesinghe and Ms. Lasitha Athauda from the Seethawaka Zone Management joined Chief Delegate Mr. Martin Klose and Project Manager Ms. Sabrina Kolb in planting a pomegranate tree at the premises.
